International bulk material handling specialist joins FLSmidth

FLSmidth has signed a share purchase agreement with Conveyor Engineering Inc. (CEI). The USA-based specialised provider of major bulk material handling solutions has a strong track record in the cement, mining and heavy industrial sectors worldwide. Its large capacity conveying, stacking and feeding systems will enhance FLSmidth’s offerings and enable it to further strengthen global growth in the minerals industry, whilst also supporting its cement business.

Established in the early 1950s, CEI is headquartered in Boise, Idaho, USA. It has a high worldwide reputation for designing and supplying large-scale cross-country and in-plant conveyor systems, belt feeders and heap leach stacking systems. Commenting on the acquisition agreement, FLSmidth Group CEO Jørgen Huno Rasmussen says, “CEI’s capabilities and technical resources will strengthen FLSmidth’s position as a world leader in distinctive and specialised material handling solutions.”
